How do they do that !!

What Gives Flowers Their Color?

When it comes to colors, nothing can compare to nature's own pallet. It's one of the biggest reasons people love flowers. The rainbow of colors tell a story: a person's favorite color, a shade that matches a theme, the soft romance of pastel pink, the passion of fiery red, the warmth of sunny yellow, the purity of white. The different colors may evoke certain human emotions, but they really have nothing to do with us.

History of Flower Giving

A time-honored tradition that never gets old....

It’s difficult to say when people first gave flowers to another person...
Perhaps it occurred when the hunter hoped to surprise the gatherer with
a handpicked bouquet to celebrate that evening’s meal.
What is known, however, is that giving flowers as gifts is a means of
communicating a specific sentiment, and the tradition is as old as recorded history.

It's the gift that keeps on giving....  LOL

Valentines is coming

Valentines Day will be here before you know it...  people will be buying gifts for their loved ones and a popular item is flowers !!  Roses ! They must be red !  Why ?  Just because someone said so...  no.
Let's be different, buy other colors and other flowers because for some reason the growers think they need to charge twice as much for red roses.
Be brave pick another choice of flowers for your loved one this year.

OK, so it has a couple of red roses, but other flowers too.  The heart says it all....Love.

Flowers in your home....

Create a Calm, Cozy Home
There’s certainly something calming and graceful about fall flowers, but it is also amazing to bring darker hues into the home. Stock up your house with chunky knit blankets, warm candle scents, and wood to burn the occasional fire on a cold night. If you are feeling the need to stay home more, now that summer is over, you might even be looking for a new hobby. There is never a better time to perfect your apple pie or apple cider recipe. They are small changes but will help reflect the changes going on outside in an easy and affordable manner.

Have you ever....

Sent flowers in advance to thank someone before they helped you?
I recently had several operations for my broken foot.. First one was an emergency, so could not plan this, but the second one I knew in advance.... So, I sent 10 bud vases on the day I was checking in to my nurses station.  OMG, they were like waiting for me.... They were so happy to get flowers!   The nurses had a sweet smile all day!
Pay it forward with flowers... LOL

The Language of Flowers, Part 2

CarnationsCarnations signify fascination and devoted love. However, you should probably discourage your customer from sending striped carnations, as these typically represent refusal, and yellow carnations, which signify rejection and disdain. How about some nice light red blooms, which represent admiration? (If this bouquet goes over well, he might eventually be coming back for dark red carnations, which signify deep love and affection.)

We sell carnations !!   Call for current selection of colors !
